A still from The Mehta Boys

Little did we know that a father-son relationship can be laced with jealousy. You really want your son to succeed, but at the same time you are threatened by the fact that he might go ahead of you. The little boy whom you used to think to be good for nothing is having an opinion about himself and knows where he lies and you as a father are unable to digest the fact that he is not running to you for advice.

All the actors in the show has given their best, whether it is Boman Irani, an old father filled with false vanity and ego who can’t get over the death of his wife, Avinash Tiwary who plays the role of an equally egoistic son and  the brilliant Puja Sarup who is so sandwiched by the egos of  the two Mehta that she doesn’t even have the time to grieve.
