Actress Tanushree Dutta was in a conversation with a portal called Bollywood Thikana where she spoke about being offered Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss.
The actress said, “Do you really think I would go to a show like that? I can’t stay in a place like that; I don’t even stay with my own family. I was never interested in Bigg Boss and will never be.”
She added, “They have offered me ₹1.65 crore to be a part of the show. There’s another Bollywood celebrity at my same level who was paid the same amount.”
On the concept of the show
Tanushree Dutta added, “I’ve received a call from the Bigg Bossstylist too, who requested me, and said she will take care of my diet. I said even if they give me a piece of the moon, I wouldn’t go.”
Dutta slammed the concept of the show and exploded, “Men and women sleeping in the same hall, they sleep there, fight there…I can’t do that. I am very specific about my diet depending on my energy.”
She continued, “Do I seem like the kind of woman who will sleep on the same bed with a man for a reality show? I’m not that cheap. My privacy is valuable to me. I know I can earn more than that if they let me work in peace.”
The Metoo movement
Nana Patekar stood accused of sexually harassing Tanushree Dutta on the sets of Horn ‘OK’ Pleassss, a 2008 movie. Dutta had filed a police complaint against Patekar and her lawyer told the media that once a FIR was registered, two more women who had allegedly been harassed by the accused, would come forward.
Dutta was the actress who began the Metoo movement in the industry in 2018 and many more traumatic stories came forward. In an interview with The LallanTop, when the ‘Welcome’ star denied the allegations, Dutta took to Instagram to write a long note on how Patekar was a ‘pathological’ liar.
