Actress Neha Sharma, who featured in movies like Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Tum Bin 2, Mubarakan, Crook, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and others, is set to enter politics and contest Lok Sabha Polls from Bihar.
Neha’s father, Ajit Sharma, who is Congress MLA from Bihar’s Bhagalpur, said if his party gets to contest from the seat after discussions on Mahagatbandhan seat-sharing, her daughter might get the ticket from the constituency.
“Congress should get Bhagalpur constituency as it is our stronghold, talks on seat sharing arrangement is on. If we get this seat, it is up to the party’s high command to take a call on who can contest, if the party asks me, I will contest or maybe my daughter Neha Sharma might contest from this constituency. We will have to wait and see,” MLA Ajit Sharma said.
On the professional front, Neha Sharma was last seen in Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Jogira Sara Ra Ra. While talking about working Nawaz, she told Firstpost, “I always wanted to work with good actors because that’s the end of the day an enriching experience. You learn something new about the craft and I always wanted to work with actors with whom I could get to learn something. Nawaz is not a gimmicky actor, there are certain things and nuances about him that are very subtle and I have really enjoyed this process of working with him.”
She added, “I always tell him to do something light so that he has an Adam Sandler kind of a fan. But Photograph is one of my favorite films of his which is relatively lighter. _Bajrangi Bhaijaan_ of course, which is a commercial, massy entertainer. But Photograph because it was a different kind of romance and not disturbing or dark. I want to watch _Raman Raghav 2.0_ but I don’t have to courage to watch it; but that’s also the one film everyone highly told me about. Manto I’ve seen yet but that’s also on my list."
