Tamil actor-politician Thalapathy Vijay has landed in legal trouble over his recent rally at Parapathi in Madurai district on August 20. He attended the second state conference of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) when his guards manhandled the crowd.
A FIR has been registered against the actor and 10 other people as the video has gone viral on social media:

A complaint was filed by Sarathkumar (the TVK worker) at the Perambalur District SP’s office, stating that TVK chief Vijay’s bouncers had manhandled him.
Vijay on quitting politics
Thalapathy Vijay opened up about his decision to quit films and dedicate his complete time and effort to politics. There were rumours that the GOAT star will complete his last fews films before entering politics, the actor shared that he is indeed leaving the film industry to focus on his political career.
“I have thrown away the peak of my career and i have thrown away the salary.. I’m here as your VIJAY with a trust on you all…” the Tamil superstar said while addressing his fans on Sunday during the first TVK Vijay Maanadu event.
