Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior poster depicts Ajay Devgn as the indomitable Maratha warrior
Taanaji was a respected warrior in Shivaji's army and he was considerably celebrated in the Battle of Sinhagad in 1670.

Period dramas have always been a crowd puller. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, there is yet another Maratha warrior's account that will be brought to the silver screen. Taanaji- The Unsung Warrior features Ajay Devgn as Subedar Taanaji Malusare who battled alongside Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj. Saif Ali Khan will play the antagonist in the film. Director Om Raut recently shared a new look of the film on social media.
The look reveals Devgn as the indomitable warrior, dressed in a subedar outfit. Devgn is seen carrying a sword while his face is half-covered and eyes pregnant with anger.

The first look of the film was released in July 2018.

Backed by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, Devgn's period drama Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior is scheduled to hit theatres on 22 November, 2019.
