Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti has been seeking justice ever since the untimely demise of his brother in 2020. Recently, in another attempt to ask for an update from the CBI, Shweta released a video statement on Thursday. In her statement, she urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the CBI probe regarding her actor-brother’s death case. She expressed that even after 45 months of the unfortunate death of her brother, his family does not have any update from the investigating agency.
Emphasising that Prime Minister Modi’s help will fasten the probe, Shweta , in her statement, said, “I am recording this message for our Prime Minister Modi ji. I wanted to bring to your attention that this is the 45th month of Bhai’s passing away and we still don’t know any updates on the investigation that is being conducted by the CBI. I would highly request your intervention into the matter because as a family and as a country, we are grappling with so many unanswered questions in this case.”
Asking for relief to “howling hearts”, she further noted that PM Modi’s attention will help them to get their answers where CBI has reached in its investigation. She said, “It will really bring peace to a lot of howling hearts which have been looking for some kind of relief, answers, who wants to know the truth, what happened that day on 14th of June. Thank you.”
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020.
