The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has recommended 12 cuts to Omung Kumar’s upcoming revenge-drama Bhoomi . As per a DNA report, the two significant scenes which the committee has trimmed are Sunny Leone’s dance number ‘Trippy Trippy’ and the scene where Bhoomi (played by Aditi Rao Hydari) is sexually assaulted.

For the dance number, the portion which was allowed to be aired on television has been included in the film. Apart from this, the makers have been asked to mute words like ‘Asaram’, ‘saali’, ‘ganda paani’ and make changes to a courtroom kissing scene, which means that the total number of cuts amount to 12.

Omung Kumar, who has directed the film, told the publication that he was expecting these cuts, since the film revolves around a highly sensitive subject. Having helmed films like Mary Kom and Sarbjit in the past, the director also said that the film has bloodshed and violence aplenty, therefore, the makers were prepared for the cuts. The changes that were recommended by the board, under the chairmanship of Prasoon Joshi, have been made, Kumar added.
