Star Screen Awards 2018: Deepika Padukone tears up at Ranveer Singh's best actor acceptance speech

The Star Screen Awards 2018 were held in Mumbai on 16 December. Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Rajkummar Rao were emerged as big winners at the event. Singh received the award for Best Actor for his work in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s historical romantic drama Padmaavat . In his acceptance speech, the actor thanked his wife Deepika Padukone and also dedicated the award to his grandmother who passed away this year. Singh said, “I didn’t get the queen in the film (Padmaavat), but in real life, I have got my queen. Baby, I love you. In the past six years, if I have achieved anything, it is because you have kept me grounded and centered. So thank you for everything and I love you,” (sic)

Singh will be next seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba opposite Sara Ali Khan. His film Gully Boy, also starring Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin will have its world premiere at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival.
