‘Spider-Man’ actor Jack Betts passed away at the age of 96 at his Los Angeles home. The Beverly Hills Playhouse paid homage to Betts in an Instagram post.
The caption read- “Our beloved Jack Betts passed away peacefully at home. It is a sad day for the BHP as we have enjoyed his presence for so many years. There are actors who credit him with their not giving up because of his encouragement. We were so fortunate to have enjoyed his great spirit, passion and true dedication to the work.”
It added, “There was only ever one like this and we are the richer for having his presence in our theatre.”
One comment read- “Oh no I’m so sorry to hear this. I’d always wanted to have a chance to share work with him, talk to him. What a treasure he must’ve been.”
A second wrote- “Aaaw, Jack… Definitely an unforgettable part of BHP. Always insightful and always on point. May he rest in peace.”
A third commented-“Oh noooooo, dear Jack. I am so sorry to read this. He had longevity in life and in genuinely caring for others, as well as a seemingly effortless approach to his work . A talented and good human. 💔”
And another said, “So very sad! He was truly a friend and an inspiration 😥. Godspeed Jack & hoping you’re having a great time with Milton❣️”
