He delivered bangers like Cocktail, Chennai Express, Yaariyaan, Ragini MMS 2, Bhoothnath Returns, Boss, and Khiladi 786. The singer has spoken openly about his battle with depression and alcoholism.

But Honey Singh has landed in another massive controversy after a video of the singer surfaced from Delhi. At Nanku and Karun’s Delhi concert, the singer said something that has invited a lot of backlash- “Sisterf****r, the cold of Delhi! It’s so much more fun to have sex in the car, in this cold. Have sex in the car, in the cold of Delhi. Use condoms, guys, please. Play safe!”

The singer on his addiction

In an interview with The Lallantop, the singer said, “Few big names, few very big names, very influential names. And they teased me, ‘Arey, Sardar bada tu Punjabi hai, daaru pee leta hai, yeh karke dikha.’ Main kaha, ‘Kya hai ismei, do karta hu.’ Kuch hua hi nahi. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, phir uski addiction lag gayi. [They said, ‘Sardar, you are a Punjabi and drink alcohol, now do this. I said, ‘What’s the problem, give and I will do’. Nothing happened. Gradually I got addicted.”

It is pertinent to note that  Honey Singh has struggled with several issues and has seen the darkest of times, besides the stardom that he enjoyed. Speaking of which, Honey Singh has on several instances opened up on his journey and struggles. This time too, he revealed how he received the support of celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar during his bad phase.

In a special interaction with Bollywood Hungama, Honey Singh said that he was confused about whom to consult after remaining unwell for several days. It was Deepika Padukone who came forward and recommended a doctor to him.
