Shraddha Kapoor might be cast in Kabir Khan's web-series The Forgotten Army opposite Saif Ali Khan. The series will be based on the soldiers of the INA.

Firstpost had earlier reported that Saif Ali Khan had shown interest in Kabir Khan's upcoming web-series titled The Forgotten Army. The series was touted to be based on Subhash Chandra Bose's Indian National Army. As reported earlier, the series will not be based on the leader himself but will focus on the the other soldiers that constituted his army.

Although according to Kabir's statement the makers are still on the lookout for a female lead, however, according to DNA, Shraddha Kapoor is being considered for the role. Parineeti Chopra is also in talks for the role but Kabir seems to believe that Kapoor would be more suited for the character.

The film will also have a significant woman character as there were a lot of women in the Indian National Army. Elaborating further, Kabir told DNA, "The Azad Hind Fauj also had the only women fighting infantry unit in the history of wars. It was called the Rani Jhansi regiment. So the female character will be leading that unit in the web series."

The web series will comprise of six to eight episodes, each episode being approximately 40 minutes long. That way, the series will be almost equal to two feature films, as per the same DNA report.
