Actress and singer Shehnaaz Gill, who garnered popularity with Bigg Boss 13 and featured in films like Thank You For Coming and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, garnered severe criticism for smiling while talking about philanthropist and industrialist Ratan Tata’s demise.
On Wednesday, night a paparazzo shared a video of Gill entering the car and when a photographer asked the actress about Tata’s death, she seemed clueless and said, “Main yeh hi bolungi ki…” After a long pause, she said, “jo hua vo accha nahi hua hai. But kuch kar hi nahi skte.” Soon her tone changed as she asserted, “Kya bolu ab ispe main kuch bol hi nahi sakti, right?

Her reaction didn’t go well with social media users as they bashed her on the digital platform. While one netizen wrote, “She didn’t know anything about him seriously yaar,” another one commented, “I think she doesn’t even know about Ratan Tata it’s seems in her reaction… vry sad.”
One user wrote, “This reel/video doesn’t seem like paying a homage. Rather its insult for the departed soul. If someone couldn’t express Ratan Tata then that person can’t express anything.”
One netizen said, “Kis bwakoof se ye puch raho ho bhai sab? She doesn’t know how to respect the legend.” Another wrote, “Sirf sar hila rhi hai, ye pahchanti bhi nhi shayed.”
“She doesn’t feel anything! She sounded like she doesn’t know him, that’s why she doesn’t know what to say,” another comment read.
However, the video was later deleted by the paparazzo from Instagram.
Ratan Tata passed away on October 9 at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital at the age of 86. In 2008, he was honoured with the country’s second-highest civilian award, Padma Vibhushan.
