Shefali Jariwala, the popular TV actress and model, who became an overnight sensation after featuring in a remake pop track Kaanta Laga, passed away yesterday night around 11:25 due to cardiac arrest.
Her sudden demise came across as a huge shock for everyone in the industry, along with her fans and admirers. The actress’ last Twitter (X) post was about her close friend and former boyfriend Sidharth Shukla, as she shared a beautiful pic of them hugging each other at the Bigg House on his death anniversary. She captioned the pic, “Thinking of you today mere dost @sidharth_shukla (heart emoji) (sic).”

In her throwback interview, Shefali spoke about how she and Shukla remained cordial even after the breakup. “See, initially we bonded, and then we had a bad fight. After he came back from the secret room, our equation got better. Both of us are very logical people. Also, we have similar interests. We would talk about travel, space, bullet trains and what not. Even after we stopped dating, we were always cordial whenever we bumped into each other,” Shefali told BollywoodLife.

Several celebs, including Aly Goni, Rajiv Adatia and Divyanka Tripathi took to social media to express their condolences. While Aly Goni shared a post and wrote, “RIP,” Rajiv Adatia, posted a picture of the actress and wrote, “In total shock!! Rest In Peace Shefali!!. This is beyond shocking.”
A post-mortem is currently conducted to find the exact reason for her death. On the other hand, Mumbai Police also reached late at night at Shefali’s Andheri residence for the investigation.
Shefali Jariwala is survived by her husband and actor Parag Tyagi.
