Sharmila Tagore returns to cinema after 11 years as the grand matriarch of the Batra family in Gulmohar

Joining Sharmila Tagor in this heartfelt family drama are Manoj Bajpayee, Simran Rishi Bagga, Amol Palekar and Suraj Sharma. The shooting of Fox Star Studios, Chalkboard Entertainment, and Autonomous Works’ Gulmohar is now complete and will release in August 2022. Directed by Azaad director Rahul Chittella, the film’s incredible cast includes multiple National Award-winning actors Manoj Bajpayee, Sharmila Tagore, and Amol Palekar along with Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi) and Simran Rishi Bagga in pivotal roles. The film’s original music is composed by Siddhartha Khosla (This is Us). A heartfelt family drama, Gulmohar revolves around the multi-generation Batra family who is all set to move out of their 34-year-old family home. This moving out triggers a re-discovery of the bonds that have held them together as a family, while grappling with personal secrets and insecurities.
