Notably, the martyred soldier was named after SRK’s character from his debut TV ‘Fauji’. As per the latest report, Shah Rukh not only spent quality time with the proud parents but also discussed their plans to establish a foundation in their martyred son’s honour.
SRK meets late Squadron leader Abhimanyu Rai’s parents
The same was recently confirmed by the official handle of Team Saath, revealing that the mother of the late Squadron leader wished to meet the Bollywood star. Following this, Shahrukh paid a visit to his parents and had a heart-to-heart chat with them. “Thank you @iamsrk for giving your time to Group Captain Amitabh Rai and Mrs. Chitralekha Rai, proud parents of Squadron Leader Abhimanyu Rai, who sacrificed his life in service of the nation. That is why you are THE KING. Your gesture has filled their lives with hope and an ambition to bring his life story in front of the World. Love you SRK,” the tweet read.
