 "Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's film 'King' to be made on a massive budget of Rs 200 crore: Report")
Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan are coming together for an action-packed extravaganza called King that will be helmed by Sujoy Ghosh and co-produced by Red Chillies and Pathaan and War director Siddharth Anand. Bollywood Hungama has now reported the film is likely to be made on a budget of Rs 200 crore
A source told the portal, “King is an ambitious action film, unlike anyone’s imagination. The team has been working on the pre-production for the last one year to ensure that all aspects are covered in the right way - from script, to scale and action. Red Chillies Entertainment has always mounted world-class products and King will be no different as the banner is going all out to ensure a grand debut for Suhana Khan.”
The source added, “Siddharth Anand thinks internationally, and with SRK, he wants to make a global action thriller. He is designing stunts with the stunt experts from the West, and plans to shoot it as a hybrid of real action and VFX enhancements.”
Shah Rukh Khan finally gave a blockbuster in the form of Pathaan in 2023. It was his first blockbuster in ten years. Another addition to Yash Raj Films’ alt universe, Pathaan is all set to have a sequel but it won’t be directed by Anand.
A report by Peeping Moon said, “Aditya Chopra is strategically choosing the directors for each YRF spy universe film and has never repeated directors for its sequel movies, as is evident from the Tiger and War sequels.
The tradition continues with Pathaan 2 as well, with Siddharth Anand stepping aside for a new director to offer a fresh perspective to Shah Rukh’s swashbuckling spy character. While the director for the sequel hasn’t been finalized, plans are underway to take the project on the floor by the end of this year.”
