Renowned for his intense performances and larger-than-life screen presence, Sanjay Dutt has surprised his audiences yet again with his movie Baaghi 4. But on Netflix’s The Kapil Sharma Show, he came just to have fun with co-star and friend Suniel Shetty. He also recalled his time in jail.
Dutt revealed, “I earned wages there. Whether I made chairs or paper bags, I got paid. Then I even started a radio station, called Radio YCP. It used to play only inside the jail. I got paid for that as well. I did the radio program. We had topics to talk about, and we also did some comedy. Three or four other prisoners would write the script for the program."
The actor added, “I remember I had a full beard and the superintendent told me to get a shave. He sent a guy. His name was Mishra ji. As he pulled out his razor, I asked him how long has he been in the jail. He told me he was in the jail for 15 years."
“By this time, his razor had reached my neck. I asked him for what crime is he inside the jail, and he answered ‘double murder.’ I immediately held his hand and stopped him. So, a double murder convict had a razor in his hand, that’s just an ordinary day in jail,” continued Dutt.
Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt starrer _Baaghi 4_ has managed to get a decent opening at the box office despite not much hype and negative reviews. The action-thriller earned Rs 13.20 crore and emerged as the 8th biggest Bollywood opener of the year, beating Sitaare Zameen Par and Jaat.
While Baaghi 4 is expected to witness growth over the weekend, the Ganesha Visarjan today might impact its business, especially in the state of Maharashtra.
Directed by A. Harsha, the movie also stars Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, Saurabh Sachdeva and Harnaaz Sandhu in prominent roles. It is the official remake of the 2013 Tamil film Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu.
