Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani said something about the actor to a contestant on Indian Idol 15. She revealed, “Jo the na (mimics Salman) humare ex, I was very constricted. Matlab kapde yeh nahi pehanna, itne short nahi hone chahiye. Itna long hona chahiye, voh gale main… I could not wear this kind of dress. Initially, I did but then I was not allowed to. So I was shy then, abhi main aisi nahi hoon. Abhi poori gundi hoon. I’m not afraid now, I was reserved then.”
Salman Khan was in a steady relationship with Sangeeta Bijlani and the couple was supposed to get married until the megastar fell in with love with Somy Ali. In fact, Salman and Somy used to meet each other behind Sangeeta’s back and the Tridev actress caught them red-handed.
Ali confirmed the news to Times Now and said, “Yes, that’s absolutely true.” Recalling the time, she added, “I was living in Vindyachal (Uttar Pradesh) at that time. Salman used to climb the pipes and come to my room through my window. I found this act of Salman utterly romantic. It was a two-bedroom apartment. However, I remember one day he came over at around 10:30 am when this incident happened. He was still seeing Sangeeta at that time and in fact, their wedding cards had been printed as well.”
“ Salman and I were sitting and talking in my room and Sangeeta walked in suddenly. She looked at Salman and said, ‘This is it. You have to make a choice.’ Salman told me, ‘Somy I’ll be back in 10 minutes.’ I assumed that he would go ahead and marry Sangeeta since the wedding cards had already been printed. But he came back to the room and told me that he had broken up with Sangeeta and he wanted to be with me. I felt like it was fate,” said Somy.
