It’s been two years since the SS Rajamouli-directed film RRR hit the screens and took the International Cinema by storm. Now, years later, the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide. The director of the film, RR Rajamouli, was currently in Japan for a special screening of the film. During his visit to the country, he received a surprise from his most loyal fan. The director was blown away by his fan’s sweet gesture.
As director Rajamouli arrived to mark his attendance at the screening of his film RRR in Japan, he met a special fan who gifted him 1,000 origami cranes along with a note, winning his heart. The 83-year-old fan waited for the director outside in the cold only to meet him and greet him with the precious gift she had with her. Acknowledging her gesture, the director dropped a post on his X handle. It featured his pictures with the fan and a heartwarming write-up that read, “In Japan, they make origami cranes & gift them to their loved ones for good luck & health. This 83-year-old woman made 1000 of them to bless us because RRR made her happy. She just sent the gift and was waiting outside in the cold. Some gestures can never be repaid. Just grateful."

Another picture showed the ace director posing happily with his fan while holding the gift he received. In the third picture can be seen a close-up of the gift bag with a picture of the woman with Ram Charan and Jr NTR, grooving to the Naatu Naatu song. The gift bag also featured a note that read, “I am 83 years old. I wanna dance with _RRR_ every day. I made it one by one. Rajamouli garu, Welcome to Japan.”
Notably, the screening event of the film RRR was organised on Monday, March 19. It has also been claimed that the tickets for the special show were sold out in less than a minute of going online. Post the screening, the director was left overwhelmed as fans started cheering for him and even gave a standing ovation to the director.
Needless to mention, RRR created a significant impact in India and even garnered global attention, bagging both the Golden Globe award and Oscar for its song Naatu Naatu.
