Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are one of the most adored couples in Bollywood. While the duo tied the knot recently, they have been shelling couple goals for a long time. Recently, the Masaan actress revealed how her mother reacted when she first told her about Ali Fazal. During a recent conversation with the All About Eve India podcast, Richa Chadha revealed that when she first informed her mother about her relationship with Ali Fazal in the early days, her mother confused Ali Fazal with Ali Zafar. She looked up the wrong person online and thought he was married with two children. Richa Chadha was quoted saying, “My mom called me very alarmed and said, ‘I don’t know if you know that he is married and he has two kids’. I was like ‘What?!’ She’s like ‘Yeah, he is from Lahore, he is married and he has two kids’. I said ‘No, it’s not that guy’.”
Richa Chadha added that she cleared it up with her mother that Ali’s character in Fukrey is named Zafar, but his real name is Ali Fazal and there happens to be a Pakistani actor, Ali Zafar who has been a part of famous Bollywood projects like Dear Zindagi and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan.

For the unaware, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal had registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act back in 2020, however, they could not host a celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They finally ended up having a ceremony in October 2022. Now, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have decided to convert their nuptials into a full-fledged documentary, named RiAlity. The documentary will be providing the fans with in-dept view of the wedding ceremony and every emotion that the couple underwent.

Now, talking about their work, Richa Chadha was last seen as Bholi Punjaban in the third installment of the popular Fukrey series, Fukrey 3. The primary cast of the project saw Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, Richa Chadha, and Varun Sharma reprising their roles from the original drama. However, Ali Fazal appeared only in a cameo role. Made under the direction of Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the venture reached the cinema halls on September 28 this year.
