Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi to shoot for Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana' from February 2024; details inside

Following Varun Dhawan and Jahnvi Kapoor-led Bawaal,  Nitesh Tiwari is gearing up to commence work on his ambitious mythological drama, Ramayana. The key characters of the movie will be essayed by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash. Now, going by a Pinkvilla report, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will start shooting for the project in February 2024. The shooting for the first part of the trilogy is expected to take place from February to August next year. The report further suggests that KGF actor Yash will be joining the shoot in July 2024. While Ranbir Kapoor will be seen portraying the character of Ram in Ramayana, Sai Pallavi will play Sita. In the meantime, Yash has been roped in as Ravana in the mythological drama. According to the latest reports, the Sandalwood star will enjoy an extended appearance in Ramayana: Part One. His storyline is likely to gain momentum in part two of the franchise, expected to be set against the backdrop of Sri Lanka. Yash has reportedly set aside 15 days to shoot for part one. For the unaware, initially, Alia Bhatt was reportedly cast in the role of Sita opposite hubby Ranbir Kapoor. Although, she later decided to walk out of the venture for reasons not known to us. Later on, the makers locked in on Southern beauty Sai Pallavi for the part. Kangana Ranaut trolled Ranbir Kapoor for playing Ram Refreshing your memory, Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold statements, earlier slammed Ranbir Kapoor on playing Lord Ram. She penned on her Instagram stories that “he is a skinny white rat who is known for womanising and drug addiction”. What are Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash upto? In the meantime, Ranbir Kapoor is busy with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal at the moment. The highly anticipated drama starring Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor will reach the cinema halls on 1 December.   On the other hand, Sai Pallavi with be sharing the screen with Naga Chaitanya in NC23. In the meantime, Yash is yet to announce his next project after KGF: Chapter 2. However, he is rumoured to have joined forces with Geethu Mohandas for Yash 19.
