Film critic Rajeev Masand was hospitalised recently after testing positive for COVID-19 . Masand is currently at Mumbai's Kokilaban hospital after his oxygen levels dropped. 

Bollywood celebrities like Dia Mirza, Suniel Shetty, president of the Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association Ashoke Pandit, Sanjay Suri, Richa Chadha, Nimrat Kaur, Bipasha Basu, among others wished for his speedy recovery.

A graduate of Mumbai University, Masand started his career as a journalist and worked with various organisations.

As an entertainment journalist, he covered many international film festivals, including Cannes. After 25 years as a film critic, he joined Karan Johar’s Dharma Cornerstone Agency as Chief Operating Officer earlier this year.
