Inam Ul Haq breaks silence

In an interview, Haq was quoted saying, “Radhika was just a co-star. I was only shooting a video with her — it was a jewellery shoot for a company. She came with her mother, and we had no personal connection; she was a stranger to me.”

He added, “After the video was released, she deactivated her account and never responded to my messages — this was around four or five months ago. Radhika didn’t even promote the video.”

Police officials on the father’s statement

“He has offered limited information. Probably, he is in a state of shock or remorse…,” said an official without being named.

He also told police that he suspected that “people were talking about him living on his daughter’s earnings”, which made him feel “humiliated”, police said.

Sandeep Kumar, public relations officer of Gurugram police, also said in a statement- “He admitted during questioning that he planned the murder.” He added, “He typically bought himself milk in the mornings, but on Thursday, he asked his son to go instead. Once alone with Radhika, he pumped four bullets into her while she was cooking breakfast.”

What did Kuldeep Yadav’s brother Vijay reveal about the murder?

In a statement, Vijay was quoted saying, “Whatever happened was wrong. When I was with him at the police station, he said — ‘write my statement and the FIR in such a way that I am hanged. Fate is fate. My brother was hurting, sad, repentant, and ashamed. He could not have shot her from the front, looking her in the eye.”

Love affair the reason behind the murder?

Vijay revealed, “Our family is not illiterate… that we would be against an inter-caste marriage. If there was anything like that… it would have been sorted at the village-level.”

“Deepak had given everything to her (Radhika’s) career… spent all that was necessary. We do not know how this has happened,” said Rajesh (52), another brother of Deepak. What is written in someone’s fate cannot be changed. It was all peaceful before this happened,” he added
