Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun had held a press conference on Saturday after he was released from jail on an interim bail. He was arrested on Friday in connection with the death of a woman named Revathi at the Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during a screening of his movie. And the actor held another press conference and had something more to share.
He said, “A lot of misinformation is going around. I am not trying to blame anyone, any department or political leader…It is humiliating and feels like character assassination. Please don’t judge me,” said the superstar addressing reporters, adding that he remains “apologetic for what happened.”
“Permission was sought from the theatre management. The police cleared the way so I went in. I am a law-abiding citizen. I would have left if I were told that there is no permission,” said the actor.
“It was not a roadshow or procession. I just waved to people and went inside theatre. No policeman approached me to leave. My own manager told me that there is an uncontrollable crowd and asked me to leave,” added the actor on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s claim.
At his earlier press conference, the Icon star said, “We’re extremely sorry for the family and I will personally be there to support them in whatever way possible. It was purely accidental. I was inside a cinema theatre watching a film with my family and an accident happened outside. It’s purely of no direct connection to me. It’s purely accidental, purely unintentional. My love and sympathies are genuinely there with the family and I will be there to support them in whatever way possible."
He had also shared a statement on social media that read- “I remain deeply concerned about young Sri Tej, who is under constant medical care after the unfortunate incident.”
