Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule, which was expected to perform like a wildfire at the box office, has started its first day on an earth-shattering note. Yes, as per early estimates with collections of Rs 67 crore, Pushpa 2 has surpassed Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan (Rs 65.50 crore) to become the highest Hindi opener of all time.
The cumulative business of all languages is expected to be above Rs 150 crore in the domestic market. _Pushpa 2_ will become the first Indian film to achieve this feat. Well, that’s not all! It has all the potential to enjoy the worldwide opening of magnanimous Rs 250 crore.
The first day of Pushpa 2 is simply historic and with no competition whatsoever, the massy-actioner is expected to shatter every possible record at the box office.

Earlier today, talking about the morning box office occupancy report, Prominent film distributor, multiplex owner & film analyst Raj Bansal told Firstpost, “I am expecting it to be the biggest opener of Indian films. It will surpass Jawan, which was a holiday release. But Pushpa 2 is a non-holiday release, but even then, it will surpass all the records previously made.”
We had a 6 o’clock show, then we had a 7 o’clock show, and then we had an 8 o’clock show. The response is phenomenal, and I’m getting so many calls for tickets," he added.
When asked about the opening day and opening weekend figures, Raj replied, “I’m expecting about 65 to 70 crores in Hindi, Day 1. And, by the end of its first weekend, it should be about Rs 225 crore or even Rs 250 crore.”
Akkshay Rathie, Director, Aashirwad Theatres Pvt Ltd called the morning occupancy of Pushpa 2 ‘historic’ and said, “Anywhere between 85 to 100% all over the country, it’s totally historic.”
“All of us are confident that the way this film is going, it can challenge the highest ever day 1 in the history of Hindi cinema with its Hindi version alone. And you never know. I mean, with all the language versions combined, it can actually become the highest day 1 in the history of Indian cinema,” he continued.
