Prerna Arora , who was
arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai police for allegedly cheating filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani of a sum of Rs 32 crore, has applied for bail at at the Esplande Court, Mumbai on Monday,
reported Times of India. She also issued a statement on 9 December, where she said that there was no veracity in the complainant’s claims and was being maligned by Vashu Bhagnani’s company Pooja Entertainment. Twitter @koimoi[/caption] In her statement, Arora also said that her family was being threatened by Bhagnani, adding that he lost and his case was dismissed in various courts of the country. “Mr Bhagnani and his company have attracted orders which are available in the public domain from the court stating that they have attempted fraud and their pleas have been rejected time and again.” her statement reads, as per Cinestaan. She also accused Bhagnani of breach of contact and not clearing dues for
Pari and Padman . Bhagnani had earlier claimed he was given parallel rights for films
_Fanney Khan_ and
_Batti Gul Meter Chalu_ by KriArj Entertainment. Bhagnani had also filed a petition wherein he claimed that the proprietors of the film should be held accountable for a loss of investments amounting to nearly Rs 15 crore.
KriArj Entertainment co-founder Prerna Arora said in a statement issued on 9 December that she was being maligned by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment.
