Priyanka Chopra has responded to the contentious The Cut article that accused her of tricking husband Nick Jonas into marriage.
At an event in New Delhi, leading journalist Sonal Kalra asked her reaction to the article. She said, “I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kind of random things can’t disturb it.”
About the “vile, negative” story about her on @TheCut, @priyankachopra : I don’t even want to react or comment. It’s not even in my stratosphere. I’m in a happy place at this moment. These kind of random things can’t disturb it”

An article titled, “Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’s Love for Real?”, published in The Cut magazine accused Priyanka Chopra of being a “global scam artist”, who tricked a young Nick Jonas into a lifelong commitment when all he really wanted was a fling. After the article was circulated on social media, many users, including Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities, criticised the journalist Mariah Smith and the publication for being “racist” .
Following the backlash, the website, part of New York Magazine, removed the article and apologised , “The whole piece missed the mark. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgement. This was a mistake, and we apologise to our readers, and to Priyanka and Nick.”
