Priyanka Chopra on her marriage to Nick Jonas: Knew this was the best decision of my life

The much awaited Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas wedding occurred over the weekend. While there was a Christian ceremony, Hindu rituals were followed the next day in a traditional event. In an interview with People, Chopra and Jonas opened up about their emotional day and how they felt when they first saw each other on the day. Image from People magazine[/caption] It was in fact Jonas’ idea to host two wedding ceremonies once Priyanka accepted his proposal. The weddings were a lavish affair with as many as 225 guests. The list included Jonas’ brothers Kevin, who was accompanied by with wife Danielle and Joe, who came along with fiancée, actress Sophie Turner. The Christian marriage was held on 1 December on the lawns of the plush Umaid Bhavan Palace in Rajasthan. The actress and singer were both aptly adorned in Ralph Lauren. Both had sported the designer for the 2017 Met Gala, which sparked off rumours regarding the two. Priyanka was in white, hand-beaded and embroidered gown which had a 75-foot long veil. Her mother, Madhu Chopra walked her down the aisle. Chopra said that the ceremonies were ‘all tears.’ “I could not hold it in. I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened, and I saw his face it was just like everything settled and I knew I was making the best decision of my life,” added the 36-year-old actress. Jonas, who confessed to having awaited the moment all his life, said that it was ‘perfect.’ The Hindu ceremony took place on Sunday.
