Princess Diana revealed 'it wasn't Camilla' who actually ruined her marriage to Charles: 'It was the people around...'

Princess Diana and King Charles’ failing marriage was covered extensively during their time and it was believed that Camilla Parker Bowles was the reason behind their broken relationship.

However, Princess Diana revealed the surprising truth before her tragic death and shared with a person close to her that Camilla was not the reason.

It was known that Princess Diana and King Charles had extramarital affairs while they were together and their relationship was far from being romantic right from the start.

According to a royal expert, Diana talked about the person she blamed for her failed marriage to Charles, shortly before she died in 1997, as per a report by Marie Claire.

Royal expert and author Ingrid Seward, who appeared on Hello!’s “A Right Royal Podcast,” shared, “She told me right before she passed away that it wasn’t Camilla.” “It wasn’t Camilla that ruined our marriage, it was the people around Charles,” as per Marie Claire.

“The only thing I felt a bit bad about was talking about James Hewitt.” The royal expert continued, “She had said, if you remember, that she was in love with him, or had been in love with him, and she felt bad for William and Harry saying that.”

She also shared how Princess Diana would have reacted to Prince Harry giving candid interview to BBC and said, “I think she might have been proud. I think she would, I’m guessing, that she might have been quite proud of him for speaking up and saying what he thought because that’s what she liked. She liked to say exactly what she thought and then deal with the consequences afterwards, which is, of course, what happened to her.”
