Poonam Pandey has always been in the limelight for her controversial videos and pictures but what happened recently is unarguably her most polarizing act yet. The actress was recently in news when it was reported she passed away due to cervical cancer, which turned out to be a publicity stunt.

And now, a defamation case of Rs 100 crore has been filed against the actress and her husband Sam Bombay. The case has been filed by Faizan Ansari, who lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with the Kanpur Police Commissioner. The complaint says the act was misleading and broke the trust of many people across the country and even the people within the Hindi film industry.

The portal Hauterry teamed up with the actress to spread awareness about cervical cancer as they felt people were not talking enough about the disease. Condolences began pouring on social media and fans were shocked as they found the actress hale and hearty merely few days ago.

Pandey then shared a video on her Instagram account and spilled the news she was alive and this was a campaign to spread awareness about the aforementioned disease. Barring a handful of reactions that were in favour, particularly by Ram Gopal Varma, most of the celebrities and fans slammed the actress for her insensitivity and desperate measures to create a discourse.
