Paresh Rawal had
confirmed last year in June
that his biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi would go on floors later in 2018. Now, after the announcement that
Vivek Oberoi
will slip into the shoes of the PM, Rawal has stated that another film on Modi is in the pipeline, and is still at its scripting stage. [caption id=“attachment_5863121” align=“alignnone” width=“825”]

interview
with The Asian Age, Rawal said that while he believes that no one else can play Modi better than him, the prime minister is one personality on whom more than one film can be made. “I still maintain that nobody can play Modi other than me. I can do complete justice to the role. However, it’s a free country and even Vivek can play that role. I wish him luck,” he told The Asian Age, adding that they are “also coming out soon”. Talking about his film on Modi, Rawal said that they are planning the movie on a grand scale and it will go on floors only after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Ever since the first look poster
of Oberoi-starrer Modi biopic, titled
PM Narendra Modi
, released on 7 January, Oberoi has been
heavily trolled by Twitterati
. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also took a dig at the biopic, tweeting that Modi was unfortunate to have only managed someone like Oberoi for the role.
