Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor meet by chance, share some cute dialogues, and their first collaboration called Param Sundari seems to have the right amount of saccharine simplicity and candy-floss cuteness. But those never-ending references of Shah Rukh Khan that Malhotra mouthed in his last film Yodha make way here too.
And Janhvi Kapoor unleashes a hyper monologue about Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Yash, and Allu Arjun. It’s not just the battle of the sexes but two cultures in what seems to be a hybrid of Chennai Express and 2 States. Sonu Nigam’s haunting melody Pardesia plays in half of the trailer and a dance number in the other. All in all, romance is back on celluloid and violence seems to be taking a break. Phew!
Shot against the breath-taking backdrop of Kerala, the trailer captures the intoxicating blend of monsoon-drenched roads, backwater bike rides, and the architectural beauty of centuries-old churches - including a heart-stopping sequence that echoes the romance of yore.
