‘Panchayat’ actor Faisal Malik has defended filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s controversial social media posts in an interview with Siddharth Kanan. The actor said, “If you look at Anurag Kashyap’s work, you will understand why these outbursts happen. He is extremely loyal. _Aur imaandaar aadmi tedha hota hai thoda sa. Satak jata hai (_And an honest man is usually a little quirky. He tends to lose his temper sometimes).”

The actor added, “He has given several amazing directors to the industry. They are all doing so well today. This proves he is extremely dedicated to cinema. So, whenever someone wrongs him or wants him to compromise with his craft, woh satak jaate hai (they tend to lose it sometimes). When it comes to cinema, he is a great man.”

In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Malik spoke about his iconic show, "

One of the challenges was the heat. There were no other major challenges because we had a set world and we had to stay around that set world. Because of the rains during the shooting of the second season, we are running 10 to 12 days behind schedule and incurred a lot of loss as we were unable to shoot. Talking about season 3, the actor said, “In this season, you are going to see a very different kind of face of the village of India. This is the face where the democracy is developing itself on the grass root level. You won’t require any tissue papers in this season. There’s no crying or whining this time. There is a lot of fun to be had in this season with situational humor; but that situation is also very haunting at many places.”
