For the 96th Academy Awards, host Jimmy Kimmel had some crackling jokes for the evening and most of them landed well. One of them was about Robert DeNiro dating young women. Kimmel said, “Here’s some fun Oscar trivia: 48 years ago, Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster were nominated for Taxi Driver, and they’re both nominated again tonight. 1976 was the year.”
He further added, “In 1976, Jodie Foster was young enough to be Robert De Niro’s daughter. Now, she’s 20 years too old to be his girlfriend.”
The ‘ _Killers Of The Flower Moon_ ’ actor was sitting with his 45-year-old girlfriend Tiffany Chen when the host cracked the joke, leaving the auditorium amused.
Robert De Niro has welcomed another child. The 79-year-old is now the father of seven. This happened last year. And now, while speaking to AARP: The Magazine, the legend has spoken about the feeling to be a father when he has almost turned 80 with the newborn daughter named Gia.
Last year, at a film premiere, Robert De Niro told The Associated Press about becoming a father again: “It’s always good and mysterious and you don’t know what the hell is going to happen.”
The Oscar winner is also a parent to Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, from his first marriage; and twins, Julian and Aaron, 27; Elliot, 24; and Helen Grace, 11, from his second marriage.
De Niro is a two-time Oscar winner for his supporting role in “The Godfather: Part II” and best actor in “Raging Bull.” In 2011, he was also honored with the Golden Globes’ Cecil B. DeMille Award for his impact on the world of entertainment and awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom five years later.
