Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani says the music of “Varanasi”, the next directorial venture of filmmaker SS Rajamouli, will be nothing short of “grandeur”.

Keeravani, who won an Oscar for best song for the popular track “Naatu Naatu” from Rajamouli’s 2022 film “RRR”, said there is no pressure on him as he has clarity about his job.

“They (fans) can expect grandeur, more than that I’m not supposed to reveal. There will be six songs in the film,” Keeravani told PTI on the sidelines of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), where his film, “Tanvi: The Great” is being screened.

Priyanka Chopra, the ‘Desi Girl’ of Bollywood and global icon, is making a roaring comeback in the Indian cinema with maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi, featuring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in prominent roles. As per reports, the actress has demanded Rs 30 crore for her portrayal of Mandakini.

Producer of the film, KL Narayan, praised the Dil Dhadakne Do actress and said, “Priyanka Chopra, being an Indian actress, she went to Hollywood, she got fame, and she changed the dimensions of the Indian film industry. She did all this with her talent and hard work. Thank you, Priyanka, for accepting to be our heroine of this film.”
