Octavia Spencer reunites with The Help co-star Bryce Dallas Howard for ensemble comedy Fairy Tale Ending

Seven years after Tate Taylor’s period drama The Help, Octavia Spencer and Bryce Dallas Howard will reunite for Universal Pictures’ female ensemble comedy Fairy Tale Ending.  [caption id=“attachment_5914121” align=“alignnone” width=“825”] Bryce Dallas Howard (left), Octavia Spencer. The script has been penned by  Jim Hecht (of A Wizard’s Tale, _Ice Age: The Meltdown-_fame) and  Tracy McMillan, best known for Marvel’s Runaways and Mad Men.  Howard will also serve as a producer on the project, under the banner Nine Muses Entertainment with Eric Carlson and Susan Carlson. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins will also produce via their production company, Fuzzy Door, whereas Spencer will executive produce along with Hecht and McMillan. The Help, adapted from Kathryn Stockett’s 2009 novel of the same name, was a critical and commercial success, and also received four Academy Award nominations. It also earned Spencer an Oscar for the best supporting actor that year. The Help focused on her character’s relationship with two black maids, Aibileen Clark and Minny Jackson, during the Civil Rights Movement in 1963 Jackson, Mississippi. Howard, who was last seen in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom , is currently filming British musical drama  Rocketman , based on the life of musician Sir Elton John. Spencer, on the other hand, will be next seen in Taylor’s psychological horror Ma  and Luce, which has been selected to be screened at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival .
