Fighter, which stars Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor, has minted decent numbers at the box-office but the expectations post the historic success of War and Pathaan have not been met and amid this, the director Siddharh Anand has something to say. While speaking to Galata Plus, he defended the collections by saying that 90% of our country’s population hasn’t flown in planes or been to the airport, so we can’t expect them to know what’s happening in the air. Days after repetitive comparisons between _Fighter_ and the Hollywood film, director Siddharth Anand recently broke his silence on the same, calling it nothing but “social media chatter” which only gains a lot of negativity. ‘We need to watch our films with more respect’ This is not the first time that the director, who also has films like War and Pathaan to his credit has spoken about the comparisons with Top Gun films.
