Flawed, yet immersive, there is something truly gripping about Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2 which will keep you thinking for days. The series tells us how love can be ambitious and toxic to an extent that can make you a dark person.

If the smell of blood gives you instant orgasm and the giggling of guns gives you a high, this Netflix show is a must-watch. There isn’t a single moment where you will get bored. In fact, you will be glued to the screen wanting to know what is happening next even when _Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2_ gets over.

Not giving out the story, the movie takes you to a dark place and all the characters including Shikha played by Shweta Tripathi have become more layered, confused and dark. Tahir Raj Bhasin has beautifully depicted the anti-hero role. They are all dwelling in a dark place whether it is Vikrant (Tahir Raj Bhasin) or Purva Awasthi (Anchal Singh). It’s all about the negative passion and ambition to possess someone who is not interested in you is what makes the show even darker in Season 2.

A still from Netflix’s Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2

There is absolutely no stopping when obsession gets deadly. Love turns into an all-consuming, unforgiving obsession, where every move is calculated. This isn’t just love; it’s madness — and the revenge and twisted games have only intensified. Yet where do they falter?

The show starts where it left us three years back when Purva was kidnapped, the ransom amount became a whopping 100 crore bounty and Vikrant (Tahir) put many lives on the line, this season asks: “How pulpier can pulp get?”

Revenge, betrayal, and fatal passion take center stage, serving up nail-biting drama at every turn. Vikrant sets out to kill Purva, but now his own fate hangs in the balance — will he survive her grasp, or is he trapped in this twisted love story forever? There is a role reversal here where the man suffers in the hands of his wife, who suffocates him with her venomous love. Purva believes that she can buy anything in life with money, mostly because her upbringing is such that she is made to believe in a certain way.

A simple boy, Vikrant (Tahir Raj Bhasin) with simple dreams and ambitions turns into a demon. The show tells us when you are madly and passionately in love and when life pushes you against the wall and there is nowhere to go, you just have one option and that is to fight till the end and kill the inner human in you. And that’s exactly what Vikrant does. I would also say that’s exactly what Purva does. Both are right from their own point of view and are genuinely in love with somebody and are not willing to give up. A clumsy man, Vikrant for whom luck never favours, but he fights hard every time he is stuck in a sticky situation.

News18

There are scenes which are unrealistic, but isn’t that what pulp comedy is all about. Gurmeet Choudhary, the new addition to this Netflix show as Guru is to watch out for. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein Season 2 just like the first one will leave you on the cliffhanger.  Surprisingly it starts and ends with Purva Awasthi’s mother. In the scene she commits suicide and then she is seen on death bed yearning to see her daughter. It is definitely a must watch pulpy Season 2 and the wait for Season 3 starts from today.

Rating: 3 (out of 5 stars)
