After years of exit as the judge, Navjot Singh Sidhu reunited with Kapil Sharma on his Netflix’s show The Great Indian Kapil Show. In the new promo of the upcoming episode, Navjot Singh Sidhu is seen sitting on the judge’s seat while Archana Puran Singh looked lost.
She walks on the stage and asks Kapil to intervene and says, “Kapil, tell Sardar sahab to get off my seat. He’s taken over my spot."
Harbhajan Singh, who will also appear on the show along with wife and actress Geeta Basra, says no matter who is the judge, no one can take over Navjot Singh Sidhu.
The appearance of Sidhu created happiness among the netizens. While one fan wrote, “He is much better than Archana. Please make him permanent,” another social media user commented, “We need sidhu back. Sidhu comes to my mind when i think about the show.”
“I wished Mr. Shidhu would come back audience miss him so much,” said another user. “2024 will remember as year of collaboration,” wrote another netizen.
Then it was revealed that Sidhu, his wife Navjot, Harbhajan, and Geeta appeared as the guests.
In 2019, Navjot Singh Sidhu was asked to leave the show after his controversial statement on the Pulwama attack. At that time, the former cricketer shared about his replacement on the show taking X (previously known as Twitter) and wrote, “I had to attend Vidhan Sabha’s session due to which I couldn’t go for the shoots of _The Kapil Sharma Show_ and they got somebody else in my replacement for two episodes. I have no intimation about my termination from the channel. If it is regarding my statement, I will stick to what I have been saying yesterday, today and ever tomorrow,"
