It was an afternoon filled with love, laughter and joy at Smiles Foundation when Bobby Deol recently visited the children and spread smiles and warmth.
The moment he walked in, the room lit up with excitement, laughter and anticipation.
To welcome their special guest, the children had prepared dance performances filled with enthusiasm and innocence. They performed to patriotic tunes like “Rang De Basanti Chola”, and in a heartfelt gesture, also danced to Deol’s iconic song “Soldier Soldier” from Bobby Deol’s 1998 blockbuster “Soldier”. The performance brought nostalgia and excitement, as the actor cheered for the little ones and joined in their happiness with smiles and applause.
Sharing their feelings, one child said, “When Bobby Sir came, I was very excited. We performed ‘Rang De Basanti Chola’ in front of him, and I really liked that he enjoyed it so much.” Another little one added, “He gave us a lot of advice. He told us that we should study sincerely, because only then will we be able to achieve something in life. Meeting him made me feel very happy."
Bobby Deol also shared his emotions openly. “I am very happy to meet the children. They are getting the right education and everything is being taught so well. I am very happy and very blessed to be here. I truly wish Smile Foundation all the best,” he said, his words reflecting gratitude and warmth.
The visit was more than just an interaction. It was a day of connection, encouragement and inspiration. For the children, it meant being appreciated by someone they admire, and for Bobby Deol, it was a reminder of the joy that comes from giving back.
Though he rarely makes noise about it, Bobby Deol often gets involved in gestures that uplift society, quietly lending his support to causes without seeking attention.
Marking over 30 years in the film industry, his journey of resilience and reinvention stood as an added source of inspiration for the children, showing them that with patience, perseverance and hard work, dreams can indeed come true!
