 "Netflix's Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale: Chandramukhi makers NOT demand Rs 5 crore from actress after latter's legal tussle with Dhanush")
While the legal tussle between Nayanthara and Dhanush over using of footage from the latter’s production venture Naanum Rowdy Dhaan has been in the news, there were rumours that Chandramukhi makers too demanded Rs 5 crore from Nayanthara for using the film’s footage in her Netflix documentary, Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.
However, Sivaji Productions (producers of Chandramukhi) has denied such claim as their NOC has gone viral on social media.

In the NOC, there is no mention of money asked by Sivaji Productions from Rowdy Pictures, which is owned by Nayanthara and her filmmaker-husband Vignesh Shivan.
“This is to certify that Sivaji Productions has no objection to the use of the following footage in the Netflix documentary “ Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale ," read the certificate.
“We confirm that Rowdy Pictures has been granted permission to use, reproduce, distribute, and/or sub-license the aforementioned video footage exclusively for use in the Netflix series titled “Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale. We further declare that we shall hold Rowdy Pictures (along with affiliates, licensees/sub-licensees, and assigns) harmless from any claims and/or disputes arising out of the use of the video footage as authorized under the certificate/letter," the NOC stated.
In her open letter slamming Dhanush, Nayanthara wrote, “After two long years of battling it out with you for an NOC (No Objection Certificate) and waiting for your approval for our Netflix documentary release, we finally decided to give up, re-edit and settle for the current version since you declined to permit the usage of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan songs or visual cuts, even the photographs to say the least despite multiple requests."
“What’s even more shocking is your legal notice after the release of the trailer of the Netflix Documentary. We were startled to read those lines wherein you questioned the usage of some videos (just 3 seconds) which were shot in our personal devices and that too BTS visuals that are already very much publicly present on social media and claimed a sum of Rs.10 crores as damages for the mere 3 seconds. This is an all time low from you and speaks so much about your character. I wish you were half the person you portray to be on stage in audio launches in front of your innocent fans but clearly you do not practice what you preach, at least not for me and my partner," she added.
