Jaideep Ahlawat has become one of the most demanded actors after he delivered path-breaking performances in Gangs of Wasseypur, Commando, Raazi, Jaane Jaan, Maharaj, and the recently released Pataal Lok Season 2.
While the actor is gearing up for the release of Netflix’s Jewel Thief, as per the latest report, Jaideep was offered the role of Ravana’s righteous brother, Vibhishana, in Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash starrer Ramayana.
However, Jaideep had to let go of the opportunity of Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial due to prior work commitments and scheduling conflicts.
Recently Ranbir also spoke about the magnum opus and playing the character of Lord Rama. “I am currently working on Ramayana, which is the greatest story around. My childhood friend Namit Malhotra, somebody who is so passionately making this book, has got the best of all the artists, all the creative people, and the crew. It is directed by Nitesh Tiwari," Ranbir said at the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah.
Ravi Dubey, who plays the role of Laxman in the magnum opus, recently praised Ranbir Kapoor. “Ranbir is incredibly kind, one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He is very warm and welcoming. We were just discussing humility earlier. When someone attains massive success, especially sudden success, they become widely admired and loved. With that comes immense credibility for their performances, along with the freedom to carry themselves in a certain way—something many actors embrace,” he told PinkVilla.
In Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will be essaying the role of Lord Ram. He will be joined by Sai Pallavi who has been roped in for the role of Goddess Sita. Notably, Sai replaced Alia Bhatt to play Goddess Sita in the film. However, she backed out due to dates-related issues. In what created the most buzz around the cast of the film, KGF star Yash is set to play Ravana in the movie with Sunny Deol also joining the cast to play the role of Hanuman.
