After a long wait and anticipation, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious project Heeramandi finally premiered on Netflix on 1st May and opened to rave reviews among cinema experts and audiences.
Ahead of the release, the makers had kept a star-studded screening, which was attended by celebs like Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Rekha, and others. Now, Netflix has shared a clip from the screening where the stars are praising SLB’s magnum opus.
“Portrayed on Netflix and where the whole world will see his artistry. You get hours and hours of sir so I am so excited for that,” said Alia Bhatt, who worked with Bhansali in Gangubai Kathiawadi and will reunite with him with Love And War.
Vicky Kaushal, who will also be a part of _Love And War_ costarring Ranbir Kapoor, said, “The world building that Sanjay Sir is capable of doing is just unmatchable.”
While Vijay Varma called the series a “magnificent drama,” Shantanu Maheshwari, who was a part of Gangubai Kathiawadi said, “Sanjay Sir, hats off, jo harkatein karte hain, karwate hain artists se (The things he does and makes the artists do), it’s amazing. you just know yeh sir hi karwa sakte hain (Only SLB can make them do it)."

Initially conceived as a 14-page concept by Bhansali’s friend, Moin Beg, two decades ago, the project underwent a transformative journey before making its way to the screen.
