Netflix's 'Heeramandi' actress Sharmin Segal: From a mere Rs 7,500 to Rs 53,800 crore; a close look at her journey

The maverick filmmaker of the entertainment industry, Sanjay Leela Bhansali recently amazed the viewers with his latest project Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, which premiered on 1st on Netflix.

The web series was a visual spectacle amalgamating top-notch direction and impeccable performances. However, the weakest link in the web series turned out to be Sharmin Segal, who portrayed the character of Alamzeb.

Sharmin garnered severe criticism for her performance in Heeramandi as netizens ’expressionless’ and her acting skills, ‘abysmal.’ In fact, she disabled the comment section of her Instagram profile due to the growing backlash against her. Having said that, her journey may not have been as easy as it seems.

She then made her acting debut with Malaal in 2019, produced by SLB. And five years later, the middling show Heeramandi happened.

Ever since the release of Netflix’s  _Heeramandi_ , Sharmin Segal, who played the role of Alamzeb, has been garnering severe criticism for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series. While she has been the talk of the town, very few people know about her husband Aman Mehta, who has an insane net worth of Rs 53,800 crore.
