Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan were set to reunite for Tanu Weds Manu 3 after the success of the first two films in the franchise. But now, as per reports, the third part is in jeopardy after Eros International has sent legal notice to director Aanand L Rai, claiming full ownership over the franchise.

They have also said they are planning to take the franchise ahead with their own project. This fiasco comes at a time when Rai and Dhanush slammed the makers of Raanjhanaa for altering the end through AI recently.

Dhanush had tweeted- “The re-release of Raanjhanaa with an Al-altered climax has completely disturbed me. This alternate ending has stripped the film of its very soul, and the concerned parties went ahead with it despite my clear objection.”

He added, “This is not the film I committed to 12 years ago. The use of Al to alter films or content is a deeply concerning precedent for both art and artists.”

About Tanu Weds Manu 3

A source told Pinkvilla last year, “It’s a sequel in true sense and the makers have come across a story that organically leads itself to a trilogy. Staying true to the world of part one and two, the third instalment too will be a blend of humor with romance and drama.”

It added, “ Kangana Ranaut is excited to explore the first triple role of her career, and is awaiting a complete narration from Aanand L Rai. The film will give her the opportunity to dive into new shades of a performer.”

Kangana Ranaut began her Bollywood career in the year 2006 with Anurag Basu’s Gangster. She became one of the finest actors of the industry but she forayed into politics and last year, said she would quit acting if she won the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

Ranaut was quoted saying, “The film world is a lie, everything there is fake. They create a very different environment. It is a glossy world like a fake bubble which is to attract the audience.”
