Nagarjuna reveals he's going to Lakshadweep next week, says 'Canceled my Maldives tickets because...'

South superstar Nagarjuna, during an interaction with Indian lyricist Chandrabose and songwriter MM Keeravaani, spilled the beans on his vacation plans. The star was talking about his plans of going to Maldives and revealed how he has canceled the tickets, not out of fear but something else. “I was working for 75 days for Big Boss and ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ without a break. Now, I have cancelled my tickets, and I am looking to going to Lakshadweep next week,” revealed the actor. He added, “Did not cancel it because of fear or anything. I cancelled the tickets because it is not healthy. Whatever they have said or the statements they have made were not healthy at all, and it’s not right, and he is our Prime Minister. He is leading 1.5 billion people. He is the leader of 1.5 billion people and whatever they treated is not right.” Indian cine stars such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shraddha Kapoor along with other prominent personalities on Sunday appealed to fans to “explore Indian islands” and coastal destinations, amid row over disparaging remarks by Maldivian ministers after Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lakshadweep. Salman Khan  wrote- “It is so cool to see our Hon PM Narendrabhai Modi at the beautiful clean n stunning beaches of Lakshadweep, and the best part is that yeh hamare India mein hain.”

Akshay Kumar – “Came across comments from prominent public figures from Maldives passing hateful and racist comments on Indians. Surprised that they are doing this to a country that sends them the maximum number of tourists. We are good to our neighbors but why should we tolerate such unprovoked hate? I’ve visited the Maldives many times and always praised it, but dignity first.” Shraddha Kapoor – “All these images and memes making me super FOMO now    Lakshadweep has such pristine beaches and coastlines, thriving local culture, I’m on the verge of booking an impulse chhutti.”

The Maldivian government on Sunday distanced itself from “derogatory remarks on social media platforms against foreign leaders and high-ranking individuals”.
