Konkona Sen Sharma reveals OTT has given actors opportunity to showcase their talent

There was a time when people used to wait for a film to be released in the theatres, but now, a variety of movies and web shows is only a click away on multiple OTT platforms. The increasing popularity of these streaming platforms has also effectively changed the way viewers consume content. During a recent interview with DNA, actress Konkona Sen Sharma revealed that the recently popular OTT platforms have provided the actors with an opportunity to flaunt their talent in front of an audience. Konkona Sen Sharma on the changing dynamics with the rise the OTT platforms When asked about her opinion on the OTT platforms, Konkona Sen Sharma shared that according to her, we are lucky to have these streaming platforms, and she wished that there were more of these platforms as at the moment their number is limited to only five, with a lot of content being created regularly. Konkona Sen Sharma also added that these OTT platforms have provided the actors with a stage to shine and showcase their talent to the audience. She stated that there are a lot of actors who may not have gotten the opportunity to shine in movies and theatres but have received an opportunity to share their talent through these streaming platforms. The Talvar actress was also quoted as saying, “In web series what happens is one is able to get into the character over seasons, building upon it, which is an interesting format and we also have a variety of formats really open up and you don’t have to stick to only one kind of it." All about Mumbai Diaries 2 Now, Konkona Sen Sharma was recently a part of Amazon Prime Video’s medical drama, Mumbai Dairies 2. It stars Mohit Raina, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Satyajeet Dubey, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Natasha Bharadwaj, and Tina Desai in pivotal roles, along with others. Premiered on 6 October this year, Mumbai Diaries 2 talks about the various hardships faced by the medical staff in a hospital during a crisis. In addition to this, Konkona Sen Sharma was also a part of the first season of the show, Mumbai Diaries 26/11.
