Produced by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi seems to be shot on a grand scale. The sets of Jhansi are made believable and the British threat, impending. The trailer tracks the development of Kangana Ranaut's character from a brave young woman to a supportive wife, a protective mother to finally a valiant queen and warrior. The actress seamlessly transforms from one avatar into the other.
The trailer is peppered with potent patriotism, which is sure to rouse the audience with its embedded sentiment. One to mention is, "Mein woh mashaal banungi jo har Bharatiya ke andar aazadi ki bhook ban kar dehkegi."
From the looks of it, the film is set to have strong performances from the supportive cast as well. Notable among them are Danny Denzongpa's portrayal of Ghaus Khan, the royal commander of Manikarnika's army, and Suresh Oberoi. Director of Photography Kiran Deohans Gnana Shekar aptly captures the milieu of India during the British Raj.
