Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier became an internet sensation after her ‘wink song’ ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi…’ from the film Oru Addar Love went viral_. The poster shows a teacher scribbling on the blackboard, while a young girl and a boy hold hands in a classroom.
Following the raging success of the song, the director decided to increase the roles of the Varrier and her co-star Roshan Abdul Rahoof, reported Hindustan Times. However, Oru Adaar Love landed into troubled waters after a spate of complaints and FIRs were filed against the makers and the actress for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Muslim community for featuring a wink scene in the movie. But the Supreme Court quashed the FIR on 31 August. Recently, Varrier also became the most searched personality of the year , followed by Priyanka Chopra’s spouse Nick Jonas, Sonam Kapoor’s husband Anand Ahuja and dancer Sapna Choudhary.
