Actor Pankaj Tripathi is gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated film ‘Main Atal Hoon’, based on the life of late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. With just a few days left before the film hits theatres, the actor recently went on a promotional journey to visit the popular Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu, also known as the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link. Named after the former Indian Prime Minister, the 22-km-long sea link is also India’s longest sea bridge. Taking to his Instagram handle, the actor shared a video of his visit to Atal Setu as he enjoys travelling on a bus with a group of kids from the Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s alma mater. Expressing his excitement over the journey, he also mentioned that a new promotional video of the film will be released very soon and will feature the children. As the video proceeds, Tripathi shows a few photo frames and portraits of his film as created by the school children. Before concluding the video, Tripathi went on to describe his experience of travelling on the bus, as he glanced outside the window to enjoy the view. Watch:
Notably, the bridge was recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Maharashtra. Along with that, he also became the first person to drive across the bridge. Main Atal Hoon new trailer Hours after sharing the video with the school kids, the makers of ‘ _Main Atal Hoon_ ’ also shared a new trailer for the upcoming film. The trailer gives glimpses of Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination, Vajpayee’s initial struggle in politics, standing up against Indira Gandhi during the Emergency, the Babri Masjid demolition, the Pokhran nuclear test, and also the Kargil War. Viewers could also catch a glimpse of the late President Abdul Kalam. “More than a poet. More than a statesman. More than a Prime Minister,” the trailer description read.
Helmed by Ravi Jadhav, Main Atal Hoon also features actors like Piyush Mishra, Daya Shankar Pandey, Raja Rameshkumar Sevak, Pramod Pathak, Paayal Kapoor Nair, Harshad Kumar, Prasanna Ketkar, and others. The film will be released in theatres on 19 January.
